Three of Wands, Robin Wood Tarot

17.02.2020

Theme: finding the path through 'the woods/scrubby terrain'

"When the Three of Wands appears in a reading representing the present it reflects that you have invested a lot of optimism into some venture or relationship." (keen.com)

"momentum, confidence, expansion, growth, foresight, looking ahead" (labyrinthos)

"REVERSED: Playing small, lack of foresight, unexpected delays
The Three of Wands reversed suggests that growth and expansion are available to you, but you are choosing to play it safe and stay within your comfort zone." (biddytarot)

"...returning from travels and homeland. It can indicate restriction, lack of progress, adventure or growth, failure and being unhappy with your choices or disappointed with the outcome of your situation.
...holding on the past and being haunted by it. It is a Minor Arcana card of lack of confidence, self-doubt, frustration, clipped wings and shying away from life.

Before I even got out of bed today, I pulled this card (in my Tarot Sampler app):

"I know I can be cold when I need to be, bold when I have to be, and as blunt as I can be. There is much to do and you must get to it. There is time for discussion and a time for decision-making. The time for discussion is over; now is the time to make a decision and get on with it already." (link)

Doubt and fear wants to stay in the discussion phase, in the comfort zone. Now they are procrastinating. Under the flag of "are we sure what needs to be done?" - as they know that I need to stay away from action until it's certain. Until I just 'know', and don't merely 'think'. They also pull the "you know you shouldn't try to find your way through the forest without a guide" trick. They are not keen on expansion and optimism right now - they are not comfortable with the 'uncertain direction' I'm walking in right now!

But now there are a lot of obvious things to just "get on with already" - it's not as 'scrubby terrain' as my fears believe and suggest at the moment - so ...
Lets go!
